Filtering at ink production and inside the digital printer

Ink production:
The filtration of inks is a challenging task, as pigments, binders, and solvents vary greatly in their filtration behavior. For example, filters that are too fine remove too many functional good pigments, resulting in a short service life and a reduction in pigment concentrations in the ink.
If, on the other hand, the filters are too coarse, large particles or agglomerates cause blocking of the printhead nozzles resulting in print failures.
If the filter medium cannot retain micro-gels, occurring from crosslinking of monomers, agglomerates will form in the ink later on, again cause printhead nozzles failures.
We offer a selection of filter cartridges, each with its own specific properties tailored for ink filtration. With us you will always get the best filter for UV, solvent, or water-based inks.
To help you quickly find the optimal filter, we offer 1-inch filter cartridges in combination with our Labo-XS stainless steel filter housing. This allows you to test the same filter medium that you will later use in production to test the same on lab-scale in the laboratory. And this applies to all types of inks: solvent-based, UV-curing, or water-based inkjet inks.
By the way, Arranged builds automated filtration systems for ink production that can significantly improve your production! They can be used either standalone or in combination with other systems, such as filling lines for bottles, drums or packs.

Digital printing systems (2D or 3D digital printing):
The latest industrial digital printing systems, for example in wide format printing, wood imitation printing, ceramic tile printing, and textile printing, are becoming increasingly powerful. 3D printing applications are also growing rapidly!
To build a high-performance printing system, ARRANGED offers a high degree of flexibility in filter solutions. We can achieve this thanks to our extensive range of capsule filters and disc filters, which we offer on a modular basis. Configure your ideal filter for your printing system. We deliver efficiency!
The elements of the filter modular system are:
- Largest selection of connections (Luer, threaded, hose bars, quick-release couplings, etc.)
- natural or UV black
- Materials: polypropylene (PP), polyamide (PA), filter media in PP, PA, PTFE, GF, stainless steel mesh
- Pore sizes from 0.1 to 100 microns
- STEP file for each filter configuration is something we can provide for designers.
